BackgroundTumor Necrosis Factor-Alpha: TNF- is a cytokine that belongs to the group of cytokines which function as prominent mediators of acute phase reaction and systemic inflammation. TNF- binds TNF R receptors which activates NF-B , MAPK pathway and induction of death signaling(1). TNF- functions to regulate immune response, mediate general inflammation, induce fever, activate leukocyte recruitment and upregulate HLA complex expression (2).
