BackgroundTransforming growth factor-beta 2: TGF-2 is a cytokine that belongs to the Transforming growth factor-beta super family which function as prominent mediators of proliferation and differentiation. TGF-2 induce apoptosis through the SMAD canonical signaling pathway and DAXX pathway (1). TGF-2 plays a key role in embryonic development and T-cell tumor suppression (2).
